RESCHEDULE – Deadhorse Grouse Habitat Trail Work bee Wednesday October 26

RESCHESULE of Work bee Wednesday October 26 Time 10 am – 2 pm or when complete. Volunteers are needed to help develop a new snowshoe trail from the trailhead of the Deadhorse Grouse Habitat trail. The reason for the new trail is Iron County needs to reroute the snowmobile trail through part of the hiking/hunting trails. This is a good thing because we are planning on making the snowshoe trail into a loop. Volunteers should bring water to drink, gloves and a snack or lunch.  Tools such as the following would be helpful: rakes, clippers, and/or hand saws. No power tools are allowed by volunteers on state trails. Wisconsin DNR staff will be present with chainsaws.

Date and Time of Work bee: Wednesday, October 26 at 10 AM until complete.

Directions to the trail are: From Mercer take Highway 51 north about 1 mile to County Highway FF (Left). Go about 6 miles to Popko Circle West (Left). Go about 2 miles on Popko Circle West to the Deadhorse Grouse Habitat Trailhead parking lot.
