Deadhorse Trail is open

The Deadhorse Trail in the Turtle Flambeau Scenic Waters Area is open this winter! According to ICORE Board member Diane O’Krongly, the town of Mercer will plow an area for parking on Popko Circle, giving local residents and visitors easy access to the trail.

There is no official grooming on the trail, but local residents use it for snowshoeing all winter long so there should be a decent path to follow.
