Loons in Wisconsin – ICORE Annual meeting and presentation

ICORE will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, October 26 in the Mercer Community Center. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., and ICORE members and members of the public are welcome to attend.

We will be electing new board members this year, so please make sure your membership is current so that you are eligible to vote. You can renew your membership at the meeting that evening, or download a membership form or renew online at our website. If you are interested in serving on the ICORE board or committees, please email icoretrails@gmail.com.

The meeting will be followed by a presentation at 7:00 p.m. by Mike Meyer, who will talk about the status and future of loons in Wisconsin. Meyer was a wildlife toxicologist with the Wisconsin DNR for many years and was a member of the LoonWatch Advisory Council at the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute at Northland College. Members of the public are invited to attend the loon presentation.
