Moose Lake and Little Moose Lake paddle
Naturalist and ICORE board member John Bates and Discovery Center naturalist Licia Johnson will lead a paddle on Moose Lake and Little Moose Lake within the Moose Lake State Natural Area.
Moose Lake, situated within the 4,293 acre Moose Lake State Natural Area, is a large, 270-acre undeveloped lake in a wilderness setting harboring a great diversity of aquatic plants. Breeding birds include bald eagle, common loon, hooded merganser, and blue-winged teal. We will also paddle into 13-acre Little Moose Lake via Moose Creek.
This program is sponsored by the North Lakeland Discovery Center, and registration and a program fee will be required. For more information, visit the Discovery Center website or call the Discovery Center at 715-543-2085.
