Status of Loons in Wisconsin – What’s Known and What’s at Risk

October 26 @ 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm

Free

Following ICORE’s Annual Meeting on October 26, we will welcome Mike Meyer for a presentation on the “Status of Loons in Wisconsin – What’s Known and What’s at Risk.” The presentation will begin at 7:15 p.m. at the Mercer Community Center, and the public is invited to attend.

Mike retired from the Wisconsin DNR as a natural resource scientist after 25 years of research in the Northern Highlands – including in-depth studies of our resident breeding loon population. Hear what he and other scientists have learned about the current state of loons in Wisconsin and the risks they face going forward. Learn what you can do to safeguard our loons for future generations!
