Ironwood receives grant for Norrie/Miners Memorial trail

The City of Ironwood has received a grant for $54,300 from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund to connect Norrie Park and the Miners Memorial Heritage Park by trail. The funds will be used to purchase 33 acres of railroad grade to construct the trail.

No timeline has been announced for the project, which will also eventually connect the parks to Michigan’s Iron Belle Trail. Read more in the Ironwood Daily Globe.
