Looney Hikers – Last weeks highlights and This week’s hike details.

Last week we hiked Deadhorse Ruffed Grouse Trail.  There was quite a group of 14, with three new people.  Welcome to all!  It was a great hike.  A bit tough on the legs as there still was some crusty snow to get through. Diane was our guide as she knows this trail extremely well.  She has even put up trail maps to help out.  Awesome.

This week we will hike Hidden Rivers Trail out by Fisherman’s Landing.  It’s short, so we will do one of the loops twice to add some length.  This is a nice hike as we will go out to Turtle Point to a fantastic view of the Flowage.  We will meet at Fisherman’s Landing upper parking lot at 9:30 am Wednesday February 7th. 

To get there:  from Mercer, go north on 51 to County FF, turn left.  Go to Popko Circle East, turn left, go 7 miles to Fisherman’s Landing Road, turn left.  Go about .3 miles, parking lot is on the left.
