Volunteer to Support our WDNR Adopt a Trail Program

Check out ICORE’s Meetup site to learn about and RSVP for the many opportunities to help clean up or even develop trails in our area. ICORE attempts to post work bees for area trail work and cleanups.

ICORE has committed to adopting two trails within the Turtle Flambeau Scenic Waters Area. The trails are The Hidden River Trail near Fisherman’s Landing and The Deadhorse Grouse Habitat Trails. When participating in the WDNR Adopt a Trail Program ICORE members agree to work a minimum total of 1 hour a month from May-October. With additional “Work Bee Event’(s)” in the total of 20 hours. Hours are counted per volunteer (For example: If ICORE plans 2 events a year for each trail adopted that last 3 hours and there are 4 volunteers that would equal the 20 hours needed).

  1. Hidden River trails work bee is scheduled for Friday, May 20 at 10 AM.
  2. Deadhorse Grouse Habitat work bee is scheduled for Thursday May 26 at 10 AM.
  3. Lipp Lake tail stop #14 on the Popko Circle Auto tour also cared for unofficially by ICORE volunteers. Martha Peirpont and Diane O’Krongly plan to walk the trail during the Month of May and remove debris from the trail.
