ADOPT A TRAIL DEADHORSE WORDAY FALL 2025

The trail has not been maintained by ICORE for several years so there are plenty of tasks to be taken care of on the workday.
DATE: Thursday, October 9
TIME: 10:00 a.m. and run until about 2:00 p.m., with flexibility for folks to drop in and help as they’re able.
OUR MAIN OBJECTIVES FOR THE DAY INCLUDES:
- Removing hazard trees
- Trimming and moving brush
- Expanding the width of the snowshoe trail for winter use
- Painting the kiosk (we have all supplies ready)
WHAT TO BRING
- Volunteers should bring:
- water to drink
- gloves
- snack or lunch
- Dress for the weather
- The WDNR staff will provide most of the necessary tools. Feel free to bring additional tools such as:
- Rakes
- Clippers
- hand saws
WE ALSO NEED VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE:
- SNACKS
- REFRESHMENTS

DIRECTIONS to the trail are: From Mercer take Highway 51 north about 1 mile to County Highway FF (Left). Go about 6 miles to Popko Circle West (Left). Go about 2 miles on Popko Circle West to the Deadhorse Grouse Habitat Trailhead parking lot.
