Mercer Bike Trail

The Mercer Bike Trail is a 7.8 mile trail that includes a mix of paved trails and rustic roads, with a few river and wetland bridges along the way. The route takes you from downtown Mercer to Manitowish Waters, connecting Iron County to the Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail system that winds through Mercer, Manitowish Waters, Boulder Junction, Sayner, and St. Germain.

Stay tuned for a revised map of the Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail, including the new “loop” connecting Mercer to Manitowish Waters.

Mountain bikers in southern Iron County won’t want to miss the trails at MECCA (Mercer), WinMan (Winchester), and the Discovery Center (Manitowish Waters). In the northern part of Iron County, mountain bikers will want to stay in touch with the Sisu Dirt Crew as they continue to maintain trails at Copper Peak and develop new trails at the Miner’s Memorial Heritage Park in Ironwood.
