Trails Committee receives Walmart Community Grant

July 27, 2019 — The ICORE Trails Committee has received a $500 Community Grant from Walmart.

The Walmart Local Community Grant program awards grants directly from Walmart facilities to local organizations in the U.S. These grant funds will be added to the Hurley Non-Motorized Trail Fund to help purchase the Canadian National railroad grade from Hurley to Montreal and improvements to the Hurley trailhead. ICORE and the trails committee are working to create a new paved walking and biking trail that will connect to the Hurley Non-Motorized Trailhead and the Iron Belle Trail in Michigan.
